In this retreat weekend you will dive deep into the the original Four Foundations of Mindfulness as described by the Budda. These foundations encompass much more than the widespread western version of mindfulness communicates. In the original buddhist teaching Mindfulness of Breath Feeling, Mind and Phenomena form the necessary foundation for practicing the Four Genuine Restraints which invite us to drop whatever is not good for us and take up whatever is benficial. Mindfulness of what is really going on in experience is necessary before choosing wisely. Makes sense, right?
