Traditionele boeddhisten nemen hun toevlucht tot de Drie Juwelen: Boeddha, Dharma en sangha. De staf van Nyingma Centrum Nederland heeft Khenpo Kunga Dakpa gevraagd om onderricht te geven over de betekenis van sangha en hoopt dat hij dit kan doen op de laatste dag van zijn verblijf in Amsterdam.
Wat is de betekenis van Sangha en waarom is het belangrijk in deze tijd van individualisme en materialisme?
Het bezoek van Khenpo Kunga Dakpa aan de Europese Nyingma centra zal worden afgesloten met een langleven ceremonie voor Tarthang Rinpoche, de grondlegger van al onze organisaties. Aan zijn enorme visie en inzet hebben we alles te danken wat we hebben kunnen leren en bereiken in onze centra.

Born in 1979, Khenpo Kunga Dakpa began his academic journey at Ngagyur Nyingma College, Mindrolling Monastic University in Northern India at the age of 19. Over nine years, he immersed himself in rigorous study, serving as an assistant lecturer for three years and later as a senior lecturer, assistant editor, secretary, and vice president. Conferred with the title of Khenpo in February 2018, his dedication stems from a genuine passion for teachings, with a focus on teaching about mental realities. His particular ardor lies in translating Tibetan-to-English Buddhist texts, aiming to bring the timeless wisdom of Dharma to a broader audience.
Meeting – The Meaning of Sangha
Traditional Buddhists take refuge in the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. The staff of Nyingma Centrum Nederland requested Khenpo Kunga Dakpa to give teachings about the meaning of Sangha and hope that he will be able to do so on the last day of his stay in Amsterdam. What is the meaning of Sangha and why is it important in this age of individualism and materialism?
The month-long visit of Khenpo Kunga Dakpa to the European Nyingma centers will be concluded with a long life ceremony for Tarthang Rinpoche, the founder of all our organizations. To his vast vision and tremendous effort we owe all that we have been able to learn and accomplish in our centers.
After the ceremony everyone is warmly invited to a sangha meal.
